IPTV player for Android phones: set up Klyvo Play

Google Play, device codes, My playlists, Xtream or M3U: everything you need to set up Klyvo Play on an Android phone or tablet — including older ones.

Klyvo Play is an IPTV player for Android phones and tablets: you bring your own Xtream-compatible service, and the app turns it into a clear library of live channels, films and series, with a VLC-based engine that plays formats such as MKV, AVI and HEVC. Here is how to install it and connect your source.

Klyvo Play is a player. It does not provide any channel, film or series: you connect the Xtream-compatible service you already use and are authorized to use.

1. Install Klyvo Play from Google Play

Open Google Play, search for Klyvo Play and select Install. All the other platforms — iPhone, Apple TV, Fire TV, Windows — are on the download page.

Does it work on older Android phones?

Klyvo Play runs on Android 7.0 and later, and the Google Play build keeps support for 32-bit ARM processors, which many older or entry-level phones still use. Tablets are supported too: the interface follows the way you hold them.

2. Note your device codes

On first launch, the screen shows the device's MAC Address and its Device Key. Long-press a code to copy it. These codes identify this installation of the app and let you or your provider attach a playlist from the client portal, with nothing to type on the phone.

3. Connect your first source

Under Connect your source, pick a tab:

  • Xtream: the Server URL, Username and Password your service gave you.
  • M3U link: paste the full link from your provider (the one that contains get.php?username=…&password=…).

Select Connect: the app loads your channels, then your films and series. If the server refuses the connection, the app tells you so with the code it received, and suggests checking the URL or trying your M3U link. More on the two formats: Xtream login or M3U link.

4. Add more playlists in My playlists

  1. Tap your avatar to open Settings.
  2. Open My playlists, then Add a playlist.
  3. Choose Xtream or M3U link, give it a Name (optional) such as “Living room”, then tap Add and play.

Each playlist shows its state (Active, Expired or Inactive) and its end date when the server provides it. Play switches to another playlist, Remove deletes it. The newest one plays at launch, and the list is updated automatically at every start. A device can hold up to 20 playlists.

5. Settings worth a look

  • Account and device → Catalogue country: the channels and titles featured first.
  • Playback: the video quality for films and series, and the Live TV buffer.
  • Connection & stream test: checks your Internet and your source — see how to test 4K, HD and SD.

In the player, Back shrinks the channel into a mini-player that keeps playing while you browse, and a pinch switches the picture between Fit and Fill screen.
