Apple TV is one of the best screens for live TV, films and series — as long as the app you use was designed for the couch. Klyvo Play was: everything is reachable with the Siri Remote, the focus is large and readable from across the room, and your library is organized the same way as on iPhone and iPad.
Klyvo Play is a player. It does not provide any channel, film or series: you connect the Xtream-compatible service you already use and are authorized to use.
1. Install Klyvo Play from the App Store
On your Apple TV, open the App Store, search for Klyvo Play and install it. The app is also on iPhone and iPad, and on Android through Google Play — see the download page.
2. Note your device codes
On first launch, the welcome screen shows two codes: the device's address (it looks like a MAC address) and its Device Key. They identify this installation of the app — Klyvo Play never reads your hardware's real MAC address. You will find them again later in the menu, under This device.
3. Connect your source
You have two options:
- Type it on the TV. Under Connect your source, enter the server URL, username and password your service gave you, then select Connect. These details stay on the Apple TV.
- Let your provider attach it. Your provider can link your playlist to the two codes shown on screen. The Apple TV then picks it up on its own — you type nothing.
Not sure which details to use? Our article on Xtream logins and M3U links explains the difference.
4. Find your way around
- Live, Films, Series: your source's content, with posters and summaries — Klyvo Play adds them even when your source sends none.
- What's on now: each channel shows the programme on air when your source provides a TV guide, and Replay lets you go back when your source keeps an archive.
- Search: find a channel, film or series as you type.
- MENU on the Siri Remote goes back one level; Play/Pause controls playback.
5. Free for 10 days, then one subscription
Every feature is free for 10 days. After that, the Klyvo Play subscription is offered directly in the app, through your Apple Account — the same subscription covers iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Details are on the pricing page.
No source yet?
Select Explore the demo on the first screen: the whole app runs with a royalty-free sample catalog, with no account and no subscription. It is the quickest way to see how Klyvo Play feels on your TV.
