Can you watch IPTV on several devices at home? Yes: Klyvo Play installs on every kind of screen — TV, phone, tablet, PC — and you can attach the same playlist to each of them. Two things decide how many can play at the same time: your service, which sets the number of simultaneous connections allowed on your line, and your home network, which must carry every stream. This multi-room guide explains both, suggests a device for each room and shows how to organize profiles and playlists so the whole household is happy.
Klyvo Play is a player. It provides no channel, film or series: every device plays the service you already have and are authorized to use. The number of simultaneous connections is set by that service and its terms.
The two limits: your service and your licence
- Simultaneous connections (your service): many services allow one stream at a time per line; some offer more. If a second device starts while the first is playing, the server may refuse it with a “max connections” error. Check your offer with your service, and read too many devices connected.
- The app on each device (Klyvo Play): every new device gets the full app free for 10 days, then needs a licence. On Apple devices, the subscription offered through your Apple Account covers iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Details on the pricing page.
Note that installing the app on five devices does not mean five people can watch at once: that is your service's rule, not the app's. Klyvo Play simply shows a clear message when the provider's server refuses a connection.
Which device for which room?
- Living room: an Apple TV or a Fire TV Cube / recent Fire TV Stick, ideally on Ethernet. It is the screen where Multi-Live and 4K make sense.
- Bedroom: a Fire TV Stick on the TV's HDMI port is the simplest. Samsung or LG smart TVs need one, since there is no Tizen or webOS app.
- Children's room or shared tablet: an iPad or Android tablet with a Kids profile.
- Office: the Windows app, a direct download for Windows 10/11.
- On the go around the house: your phone, from the App Store or Google Play.
Android TV and Google TV devices will be able to join once the Google Play TV app, coming soon, is live. Every platform is listed on the download page.
Setting up the same playlist on every device
Each installation has its own two codes — an address in MAC format and a Device Key — and its own list of playlists. To put your line on several devices quickly:
- Install Klyvo Play on each device and note its codes (on phones and tablets, long-press a code to copy it).
- On the client portal, sign in with each device's codes in turn and add your Xtream login or M3U link. Each device picks it up on its own within minutes — no typing with the remote. See manage your playlists with your MAC address and Device Key.
- Or send all the codes to your provider, who can attach your line to each device.
Phones, tablets and PCs are also quick to set up directly in the app, under Connect your source, where you can paste the login from the message your service sent you.
Several lines in the same home
If your household needs more simultaneous streams than one line allows, the usual solution is a second line from your service. In Klyvo Play, a device can hold up to 20 playlists: open Settings → My playlists → Add a playlist, add the second line and name it — “Line 2”, “Kids”, “Living room”. Play switches between them. A simple rule avoids conflicts: give each room its own line as its default playlist, so two TVs never compete for the same connection during a big match.
Profiles: everyone their own space
Profiles are kept on each device. On the shared living room TV, create a family profile for each person, so everyone gets their own Continue watching and My list. It takes a minute per profile, and stops one person's half-watched films from cluttering everyone else's screen. On the children's devices, use a Kids profile, which filters adult content, and protect the adult profiles with a parental PIN; the adult (-18) section is hidden by default. See family profiles.
Your home network: enough for every screen?
Each stream uses bandwidth, and they add up: two TVs in HD plus a tablet is three streams at once, and Multi-Live counts as two. A few rules keep everyone smooth:
- Wire the main TV with Ethernet when possible, and keep Wi-Fi for tablets and phones.
- Check your speed against the number of streams you want — see internet speed for IPTV.
- Test each room: Settings → Connection & stream test on each device tells you whether that spot of the house handles 4K, HD or SD.
- Avoid big downloads on the same network during live sport: game updates and cloud backups are the usual culprits when every screen stutters at once.
Multi-Live and simultaneous streams
Multi-Live shows two live channels at once on one screen. It is great on the living room TV, but remember that it opens two streams, so it uses two connections of your line. If your service allows two streams in total and someone is already watching in the bedroom, Multi-Live in the living room will be refused. Multi-Live is not offered on 1 GB TV sticks.
An example: a family of four, three screens
Picture a household with an Apple TV in the living room, a Fire TV Stick on the Samsung TV of the bedroom, and an iPad for the children. Their service allows two simultaneous connections. The parents attach the line to the three devices from the portal in five minutes. On the Apple TV, they create a profile per person; on the iPad, a Kids profile with a parental PIN on the adult profiles. In the evening, the living room and the iPad play at the same time — two streams, within the limit. On match nights, they want Multi-Live in the living room: that takes both connections, so the iPad waits for the end of the match, or the family adds a second line in My playlists for the children's screen.
Keeping every screen up to date
Each device reloads your playlist at every launch and checks its playlists every few minutes while it stays open, so new channels or titles from your service appear on their own. If your service gives you new details, update them on the portal for each device's codes: the devices pick up the change without anyone touching the remote. When a device leaves the house, remove its playlist so it no longer counts against your line — see move your playlist to a new device.
FAQ
How many devices can I install Klyvo Play on? As many as you like. Each new device gets its own 10-day trial, then must be covered by a licence.
Why does the second TV say too many connections? Your service allows fewer simultaneous streams than you are trying to use. Stop playback on another device, or ask your service about its offer.
Do I have to type my login on every TV? No. Attach the playlist to each device's codes on the client portal, or ask your provider to do it.
Are profiles shared between devices? No, profiles are kept on each device. Create them on each screen that needs them.
Conclusion
IPTV on several devices at home works smoothly when you respect the two limits — your service's simultaneous connections and a licence covering each device once its trial ends — and organize each room: the right device, the playlist attached through the portal, profiles for each person and a network that can carry every stream. Download Klyvo Play on your screens; each new device starts with 10 days free.
