IPTV subscription expired? Check your playlist end date

Active, expired or inactive: how to check your playlist's state and end date in Klyvo Play, and what to do when your line has ended.

Your channels no longer load and the app shows Playlist expired. Before anything else, it helps to know where things stand: is your IPTV subscription expired, and on what date did it end? Klyvo Play reads this information from your source and shows it for each playlist — here is where to find it, and what to do next.

Klyvo Play is a player. It does not provide any channel, film or series: you connect the Xtream-compatible service you already use and are authorized to use. Your line's subscription is managed by your provider, not by Klyvo Play.

Two different subscriptions

Two dates are easy to confuse. Your line (or playlist) is the subscription you have with your provider: it gives access to the content. The Klyvo Play subscription is the licence of the app itself — see the pricing page. This article is about the first one: the state and end date of your playlist, as your provider's server reports it.

Check your playlist end date in Settings

In Settings, the Playlist validity line shows the end date of the playlist you are watching ("ends" followed by the date). A dash means no end date is known.

My playlists: the state of every playlist

Open Settings, then My playlists. Each playlist of the device is listed with its address, its type (Xtream or M3U) and its current state, read from its own server:

  • Active: the line works.
  • Expired: the line has passed its end date, or the server reports it as expired.
  • Inactive: the server reports the line as disabled.
  • Status unknown: the server did not answer clearly — try again later.

Under the state, the date is spelled out: Ends followed by the date for a line still running, Ended followed by the date for one that is over, or No end date. The playlist you are watching is marked Playing; the others have a Play button to switch to them.

The Playlist expired screen

When the playlist you are using is expired or disabled, the Home screen says so plainly: Playlist expired (or Playlist inactive), with the message "Contact your provider to renew it, or choose another playlist." and, when known, the date it ended. Two buttons follow:

  • My playlists, to play another playlist or add a new one;
  • Check again, to ask the server right away — useful just after your provider has renewed your line.

You do not always have to do anything: if another playlist on the device is active, Klyvo Play moves to it by itself. And the state is checked again at every launch, when you come back to the app, and every ten minutes while it stays open — so a line renewed with the same login comes back on its own.

Your IPTV subscription expired: what to do

  1. Contact your provider to renew the line. Klyvo Play cannot renew or extend it: the line belongs to your provider.
  2. If the login stays the same, select Check again: once the server reports the line as active, your channels come back.
  3. If you received new credentials, open My playlists, select Add a playlist, choose the Xtream or M3U link tab, enter the new details and select Add and play. You can then remove the old playlist with the bin icon and Remove.

Update your playlist from the customer portal

Rather not type on the TV? On the customer portal, sign in with your device's address and Device Key, and add the new playlist from a phone or a computer. At every launch, the device plays its newest playlist, so the renewed line is picked up with nothing to type — see managing your playlists with your MAC address and Device Key. Your provider can also attach the renewed line to your device for you.

FAQ

Where does the end date come from? From your provider's server: Klyvo Play reads the state and end date that the server reports for each line. If the server sends no date, the app shows "No end date".

My provider renewed my line but the app still says expired. Why? Select Check again on the Home screen. If the login changed, add the new one in My playlists or on the customer portal.

How many playlists can I keep? Up to 20 per device. Remove one in My playlists to add another.
