A family screen is shared by everyone — and a source of live channels, films and series usually contains things that are not for children. Klyvo Play answers with two tools that work together: the Kids profile and the parental PIN.
The Kids profile: only what is meant for children
Most filters try to hide adult content, and miss whatever is not labelled. The Kids profile does the opposite: it only shows the categories your source labels for children — cartoons, kids' channels, family films. Everything else stays out of sight, on every screen of the app: home, live, films, series and search.
The filter relies on how your source names its categories. If a children's category does not appear, it is because your source does not label it as such.
The parental PIN: staying in the right profile
A filter is only useful if a child cannot simply switch to another profile. That is the PIN's job: a 4-digit code that locks the Kids profile. To leave it and open another profile, the code is required.
Setting it up
- Open the menu and go to Parental controls.
- Create your 4-digit PIN.
- Create a profile for your child and turn on Kids profile.
- Hand over the screen: switching profile now asks for the code.
A profile each, for everyone
Every profile has its own My List and its own resume points, so nobody loses their place in a series because someone else watched it. Profiles work the same way on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Android — see all features.
